Enhancement of terahertz optical activity with photo-excitation in metal chiral gratings

We demonstrate the enhancement of optical activity in the terahertz frequency region with metal chiral gratings by photo-excitation of the semiconductor substrate. This result indicates the possibility of the active control of the terahertz polarization.
