This paper presents implementation of a remote controlled CAN-based mobile model car using a speech activated control system. The prototype consists of a voice activated control system, a CAN network employed in a model car and a CAN/IEEE 802.11b wireless interworking unit. This integrated approach proposes an effective solution for use in widespread industrial control and automation systems.
