Single-feed planar antenna for electric and magnetic fields reception

The SPAEM which is composed of the PMA and the PSA and fed by a point was analyzed by the FDTD method. The characteristics such as return loss and radiation patterns were obtained. From these results, it is understood that there is a possibility that the SPAEM can receive both of the electric field and the magnetic field with single-feed structure. Because it is found that the SPAEM has both functions of the PMA and the PSA. Therefore, it seems that the SPAEM is an effective planar antenna in order to improve the receiving signal quality. In future, measurements of the various characteristics of each antenna, and an experimental system to confirm and to verify the reception between the electric field and the magnetic field will be considered.
