In order to improve the quality and efficiency of the grid-based clustering algorithm, the paper presents a new improving precision clustering algorithm based on the distance between grids. On the one hand, the algorithm deals with datasets by calculating the logic distance between grids, which makes up the shortcoming of some algorithm that need much mathematical operation to support. On the other hand, it presents a new technique to deal with boundary points of clusters. The experimental result shows that the algorithm is efficient with the accuracy to discover the boundary points and its run time.
