A hierarchical route optimization scheme for next generation mobile network (HROS) is proposed to solve mobility management and route optimization problems. HROS integrates NBS and MAP to construct a hierarchical mobile network, MN's registration cost is reduced with regional management. Moreover, a route optimization scheme based on MAP is also introduced by HROS to eliminate pinball routing within mobile network.
