This paper provides an overview of grid connection demonstration projects of the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO). One of the important objectives of NEDOpsilas recent R&D is solving problems that arise when distributed and renewable resources are connected to power grids. The authors introduce national grid connection projects, especially micro grid-related projects, promoted by NEDO.
