Wind turbine system is a complex nonlinear system involving some random disturbances. Based on analyzing characteristics of wind turbine and requisitions of pitch control, a compound approach was investigated by combining dynamic feed forward and fuzzy-PI to control pitch angle. Fuzzy control can not depend on mathematical model, so it solves the problem of modeling wind turbine system including feed forward control. And PI control was introduced to promote the control precision of compound system. Wind speed, the main interference of the wind turbine power generation system, was used as forward feed signal. It erases the influence on control quality because of variable wind speed. On the other hand, it enhances rapidity and anti-interference capability of pitch system. Finally, utilizing the model considering trailing vortex as example, the simulations show the effectiveness and practicability of the proposed method.
