This work presents the operation and design of a high power factor power supply rated at 2 kW operating at high frequency. Good power factor is obtained using an AC-DC interleaved boost-flyback converter as a preregulator circuit. The front end stage is associated with a nondissipative snubber operating at 100 kHz and without commutation losses. The same nondissipative snubber is associated with the DC-DC interleaved forward topology switching at 100 kHz.
