The application of dimming control in fluorescent lamps fed with square waveforms can influence important lamp parameters such as: efficacy, the lamp impedance, and lamp lifetime. In order to study the effects of dimming control and the application of square waveforms in fluorescent lamps, this paper presents a lamp characterization study varying both lamp power and operation frequency. For this purpose were measured several fluorescents lamps of different supplier.
