A scheme for fully decoding truncated ranges that is applicable to complementary codes is presented. It consists of two stages of processing. In the first stage, the truncated ranges are partially decoded. In the second, the fully decoded values are obtained as linear combinations of the partially decoded values. By eliminating truncation effects, this technique allows the bottom range to be extended without sacrificing the upper ranges. Examples illustrating the operation of the method are presented
