In the past, the research on vehicle traffic information system mostly focuses on centralized control, which collects the data into Traffic Management Center (TMC) through hierarchical architecture. A driver who needs the road traffic information has to make a request from TMC, and TMC will broadcast the current road traffic information to the driver. In this paper, we principally describe a vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V)architecture. On the basis of this architecture, we develop a vehicle guidance system, which can find one or several shortest paths in terms of driving time.
