In order to ensure water source safety of the Yangtze River in areas of Jiangsu, a ComGIS-based monitoring and warning system was developed. The system integrated the whole transaction flow of water source monitoring and warning (online monitoring, water quality modeling, effect analysis and countermeasure) with GIS. The integrated system has been proven helpful and efficient in ensuring water source safety of the Yangtze River.
