Neuro-fuzzy system to monitor uniaxial nematic liquid crystal profile

This paper developed a neuro-fuzzy network to track the deformation of uniaxial liquid crystal (LC) film in partially disorder state. The theory for modeling the capacitance of interdigitated structure in the prepense of anisotropic LC film is presented. The use of the neuro-fuzzy to track the director axis as well as the order parameter via capacitive sensing is investigated. Three capacitance calculations at different molecular profiles are required to train the neuro-fuzzy system. Three capacitance measurements are required to track the average molecular orientation using the trained neuro-fuzzy systems.
