This paper proposes a smart system to monitor the patient's condition in the hospital and immediately send SMS message to a mobile phone upon critical condition. The system can be used to monitor various clinical data of patients in big hospitals. The system consists of a supervisory computer, a data router and a number of data logger, kept near the bed of the patient. The critical conditions of the patient's data are sent to the concerned doctor, nurse and/or the attendant via GSM SMS messaging, to alert them about the situation. The system is very useful in big hospitals where the number of patients is far more than the number of hospital staff and attendants.
