Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is well-established method for DNA amplification, which amplify DNA exponentially by thermal cycling. It is most important technique of molecular biology, genetic analysis, disease diagnosis, and new drugs discovery. PCR result is confirmed with slab gel electrophoresis. But, it is time consuming and manual effort required method. Here continuous-flow PCR chip integrated with capillary electrophoresis-electrochemical detection (CE-ECD) system is proposed. Through the integration of continuous-flow PCR chip with CE-ECD system, the chip enables fast analysis of amplified DNA and automation of analysis. It will be applicable to lab-on-a-chip or micro total analysis system.
