The computationally efficient iterative receiver is investigated for MIMO-OFDM systems with turbo-BLAST (Bell Labs layered space time) structure in this paper. Compared with the conventional receiver based on soft interference cancellation (SC), we proposed a low complexity iterative detection scheme based on partial hard-decision cancellation. Furthermore, a cancellation scheme based on bit-level cancellation is presented to reduce the overall complexity. Simulation results demonstrate that compared with the conventional SC scheme, the proposed partial hard-decision cancellation scheme suffers a little performance loss with a low complexity, while the proposed scheme combined with bit-level cancellation performs almost as well as the SC scheme while proving a lot of saving in computational complexity.
