Power system oscillation can result from transmission system disturbance and Excitation controls improve system stability. In this paper, the fault diagnosis about the 3PF- BRC of excitation system is discussed. The fault signal is decomposed and reconstructed by wavelet transform . The fault character is extracted from the reconstructed fault signal.The excitation fault diagnosis system is designed by the character. The application of the excitation fault diagnosis system is proven that it very effective and accurate.
