Interpolation is indispensable in medical image processing. In this paper, a kind of morphology-based contour shape interpolation algorithm is proposed for CT images sequence, which makes good use of the characteristics of anatomical structures and volume relativity. Compared with the traditional interpolation algorithms, our new algorithm can improve visual effect, reduce interpolation error, and avoid terrace phenomenon effectively. The experimental results show better visual quality than that obtained by using the traditional interpolation algorithms.
