A novel CRLB-based adaptive algorithm is presented for staggering time estimation when tracking a target in a periodic nonuniform sampling system. The scheme is formulated using recursive CRLB relations and the steepest decent method. Validity of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated by a simulation in a first-order two-phase periodic nonuniform sampling system.
