Applying p-Cycles in Dynamic Provisioning of Survivable Multicast Sessions in Optical WDM Networks

Network survivability is crucial to multicast traffic. We propose applying p-cycles to dynamic provisioning of survivable multicast traffic. We show that p-cycle-based multicast protection approaches offer much better performance compared with other shared multicast protection approaches.
