This paper presents a couple of algorithms which can be used to correct the blank disc error through recording and playback performance improvement through disc error determination and correction on the fly during playing. These algorithms will not only greatly improve optical disc drive's recording quality over disc error but also playback robustness over wide disc quality variations.
