With the development of computer network and embedded technology, the remote intelligent monitoring system based on embedded Internet technology will be applied in more comprehensive scopes. There are three effective schemes that can be used for embedded system connecting to Internet; by using one of them the embedded Internet node unit of remote intelligent monitoring system can fulfil Internet connection. Taking processor capability problem, network delay problem, and security problem into account, a new framework of embedded Internet monitoring system is introduced; software design under muClinux operating system is discussed. Finally, an illustration system, includes hardware structure and technical parameters of intelligent monitoring terminal, is described in this paper. The remote intelligent monitoring system based on embedded Internet technology, which is presented in this paper, has been used commendably in device-room monitoring of the campus network.
