By contrasting and analyzing the existing remote monitoring system for electromechanical equipment based on Internet, this paper introduces a low cost and reliable Web-based monitor system including embedded network communication, OPC communication, real time data acquisition and remote monitoring. Only by adding an embedded network communication interface or OPC communication interface to the end of the existing electromechanical equipments, this system can collect status data from the spot equipments to a remote monitor platform. The platform can implement the remote monitoring and faulty diagnosis for multi electromechanical equipments. The system is developed by Java, Java Applet and Oracle Database. It can provide reliable status data for real time monitor and give real time on-line status data in order to support intelligent fault diagnosing and equipment maintenance. As a result, it is not only an effective solution to overcome the higher costs of on the process of remote monitoring and diagnostic in the past, but also injected new vitality in the area of remote monitoring and fault diagnosis of electromechanical equipment.
