Based on MATLAB, this paper proposes a method of harmonics detection by using wavelet multi-resolution analysis, simulation and analysis of steady harmonic and high-frequency transient shaking signals are conducted respectively. The simulation results show that the method of wavelet multi-resolution analysis can effectively detect first-harmonic wave, also the calculation is simple, which offers certain reference value to the current compensation of active power filter (APF).
