A data acquisition system is being developed for MHD diagnostics on ATF. The system is based on a previous system used on ISX-B, modified both by lessons learned from ISX-B and by new ATF requirements. The system will store a flexible mix of data and will allow the operator to acquire and examine data simultaneously. Different modes of operation for the data acquisition system will address the various plasma control and turbulence studies to be undertaken on ATF.
