A CAMAC Serial Highway with auxiliary controllers has been developed to support data acquisition from typical synchrotron radiation experiments. The controller of the Serial Highway is the main support computer for the laboratory with high-quality peripherals. The processor in the auxiliary controllers was chosen from the same computer family. An essential goal of the system is that of software integration, so that the user can easily switch from running on one computer to running on the other.
