A new approach is provided to facilitate the study of de-centalized resource allocation algorithms. Three algorithms are presented: the Arrow-Hurwicz algorithm, the center-free algorithm, and the Heal algorithm. For each algorithm, an associated network consisting of resistors, capacitors, and power supplies is found to exist. A one-to-one correspondence is proved between the equations describing these electrical networks and the equations governing the algorithms. With this correspondence, knowledge and intuition regarding electrical networks is demonstrated to facilitate the study of properties of these resource allocation algorithms.
