Wireless sensor network gets more and more applications in coal mine. In this article, the routing protocols are classified in four kinds which are query-based routing protocol, cluster-based routing protocol, geographic-based routing protocol and dependable routing protocol by data acquisition in coal mine. The article analyses every kind of routing protocols and enumerates these protocols' advantages and disadvantages. In order to develop the level of data acquisition in coal mine, a energy-based and multipath routing protocol is designed, which can enhance the power saving and dependability of the coal mining system.
