This paper proposes performance analysis and comparison between two WS-resource framework implementations: Emerging Technologies Toolkit 2.3(ETTK2.3) and Globus Toolkit 4.0.x (GT4). The two toolkits' difference in three aspects: architecture, implementation details and performance, is expatiated. A general formula is given for making choice between them. Based on the trace record of their processing requests, an improved method of ameliorating the process is proposed by curtailing the time cost spending on address locating. Experiments also certificate the increase of efficiency.
