This paper applies an optimum block adaptive ICA algorithm with individual adaptation of the mixing matrix parameters (OBAI-ICA) to wireless receivers employing quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM). The algorithm is tested in dynamically changing channel conditions frequently encountered in practice. Simulation results show that this algorithm outperforms the fast-ICA algorithm under these conditions.
