In this paper, we proposed an adaptive filter with weight-training mechanism for image noise cancellation. The processing is divided into the weight-training phase and the block-adaptation phase. The weight-training phase finds a suitable weight matrix to be the initial one of the block-adaptation phase. Simulation results with the block sizes of 8 times 8, 16 times 16, and 32 times 32 verify that this approach perform well.
