We have fabricated a fibre Fabry-Perot interferometer with a finesse of 300 and minimum resolution of 9 MHz at 1.15 ¿m wavelength. The device is made of a 3.8 cm length of optical fibre with separate bonded-on dielectric mirrors, and is piezoelectrically scanned.
