Modulation characteristics of a 1.3 ¿m distributed-feedback double-channel planar-buried-heterostructure laser diode (DFB-DC-PBH LD) have been examined. Clear eye patterns have been obtained with a single-longitudinal-mode spectrum under 2 Gbit/s RZ pseudorandom-pulse modulation.
