The performance of a sideways looking CW synthetic aperture imaging system composed of two separated colinear arrays is examined. It is demonstrated through a simulation that the configuration can provide high resolution in both along-and across-track directions. Inherent distortion is removed from the image distribution by the application of a suitable correction algorithm.
