New methods of computation of the thermal noise signals emitted by homogeneous and multilayered lossy materials, for a TEM propagation are presented. In particular, the noise contribution of the different subvolumes and the case of non-uniform temperature repartition are studied, taking into account correlation and refractive-index variation effects.
