The demodulating carrier phase Â¿ is determined from MO cos (Â¿+Â¿) = Â¿, where Â¿O is the phase shift at the carrier. The delay condition is Â¿U = Â¿LÂ¿ = TÂ±(MU MLÂ¿ + MUÂ¿ ML) MOÂ¿1|sin (Â¿+Â¿O)|, where Â¿UÂ¿ and Â¿LÂ¿ are upper and lower sideband delays and T is an arbitrary constant. The value MO = Â¿ gives the well known `constant-sideband-sumÂ¿ condition and MO = 1/Â¿2 the recently discovered `constant-sideband-squared-sumÂ¿ condition.
