A straightforward series-parallel procedure is derived for the transformerless realisation of biquadratic impedances having double zeros and arbitrary, possibly complex, poles; or vice versa. The synthesis avoids the tedious task of previous minimisation, and the appropriate surplus factor is expressed as a simple function of the coefficients of the given biquadratic form.
