Adaptive setting of the radio signal envelope prediction range according to the mobile station speed has to ensure minimization of the prediction error while maximizing the prediction gain. The paper deals with the analysis of the effect of prediction range length on the prediction error of the radio communication channel state. Results of the simulation in Matlab are applicable in optimal radio channel adaptation methods.
