This paper is focused on analyzing the transfer and the error rate measurement using network variables in LonWorks systems. The measurement was done by using the LonWorks power line modem mini evaluation kit (Mini EVK) feed by a standard RS-232 interface of the personal computer and the special software which was developed for this aim The Mini EVK power line modem contains the PL3150 circuit, which is designed for intelligent buildings control and home automation. The results of a measurement of the transfer and the error rate are presented.
