Conventional filter bank's orthogonal condition can be decomposed into two conditions in frequency domain and in time domain. Novel bi-orthogonal transmit and receive filters with different length and impulse response are designed respectively to satisfy these two orthogonal conditions. When the proposed bi-orthogonal filter design method is employed in the filter-bank based uplink transmission scheme, the computational complexity at UE side can be greatly reduced due to the short length of transmit prototype filter.
