In this paper, the authors designed an 802.16e-2005 (WiMAX) wireless environment to analyze the performance of low density parity-check codes (LDPC). The authors used a numerical technique to optimize the given LDPC code and observe improvements over the communication channel. In this paper only the worst given case of the serving base station was evaluated. The paper concludes on the use of these numerical techniques to the given code proposed in the standard.
