Quality of Service Scheduling in IEEE 802.16 Broadband Wireless Networks

An efficient scheduling architecture, named multi-class uplink fair scheduling structure (MUFSS), to support bandwidth and delay quality of service guarantees for IEEE 802.16 networks. Various types of traffic are supported: constant bit rate, variable bit rate (real time and non-real-time) and best effort. An individual scheduling algorithm is assigned to each type of service in the uplink channel. The system is implemented using OPNET Modeler.
