In this paper, we propose a novel iterative detection scheme for multiple-input multiple-output intersymbol interference (MIMO-ISI) channels using soft-decision correlations. We design a soft decision feedback detector (SDFD) combined with an additional probabilistic data association (PDA) detector to exchange the soft decisions in an iterative manner. It is shown that this combined detection scheme outperforms the conventional decision feedback detector (DFD) and approaches the ideal case where feedback decisions are perfectly correct.
