We present several results concerning a monotron oscillator with a superconducting cavity. After a comparison between results and theory about starting current, beam-loading conductance and conversion power efficiency, we give a record of oscillator frequency over a period of 15 min. We find a frequency stability ¿(<¿¿>t, ¿)/2¿F = 5 × 10¿10 with ¿ = 1s for a microwave output power of 35 mW at 2.976GHz
