In this paper, an identity-based cluster access control model is proposed introducing into the model a concept of dynamic trust agent. In our approach, inter-cluster trust relationship can be built up by the dynamic trust agent of each cluster. And there needs only one authentication between two clusters. When the trust relationship is well established, the communication among members of the two clusters can be secured without further multiple authentications. We give an overall evaluation of our proposed approach by simulations. The simulation results indicate that our approach can achieve high efficiency in the authentication among clusters and provide effective security in mobile ad hoc network
