The implementation of a Beamforming Unit for the electronic control of the radiation patterns in Antenna Array Systems is the purpose of the present research. A subunit the for phase control of a Conformal Array Antenna System has been designed and developed while an array architecture, based on the performance of the developed subunit, is also suggested. Electronic steering of the radiation pattern in a wide range, without the appearance of undesirable phenomena, is achieved, while simple and flexible algorithms can be applied for interference suppression.
