MIMO (multiple input multiple output) techniques which use multiple antennas for both transmitter and receiver are now very important for high speed wireless communications. However, the quality degradation due to multiple delay paths and co-channel interferences on MIMO frequency selective channels must be compensated. From this view point, we have compared the BER characteristics of LDPC (low density parity check) coded SC/MMSE (soft canceller with MMSE) turbo equalizer with the newly proposed eigen-mode precoder on MIMO frequency selective channels
