General mixed strip-slot circuits embedded in a multilayered medium are analyzed using the method of Galerkin. A calculation technique for the spatial Green's functions appearing in the mixed potential integral equations (MPIEs) is presented. Quasistatic and far-field components are recognised, yielding a fast and accurate result for all distances. Numerical results for a slot coupled patch antenna fed by a microstrip line show the capabilities and accuracy of the technique.
