This paper presents an experimental study on magnetic noise of an induction motor. The measurement of magnetic force wave was successfully accomplished by fitting flux-detecting coils on all stator teeth. Through the analysis of experimental results, a series of magnetic noise emitting mechanism and correlation among magnetic noise, vibration, frequencies and modes of both stator core and magnetic forces were found.
