An efficient technique for deriving the space-domain Green's function due to an arbitrarily oriented current in shielded, multilayer substrate structures is presented. The derived Green's function is then used to find the dispersion characteristics of single and symmetric coupled line MIS slow-wave structures. These results are compared to published theoretical and experimental data to verify the theory
